Xero Updates

Xero Accounting Software has made some updates that were released in the last 90 days:

  • Contacts - new user experience: Refreshed the list view page in contacts to make it easier to create and manage customer and supplier contact information from the list view page.

  • New Invoicing - show/hide invoice fields: Redesigned the invoice table and given you control over what fields are shown or hidden when creating an invoice.

  • New invoicing - add last items: You can now add the last invoiced items for a contact to a new invoice at the click of a button.

  • New invoicing - repeating invoice banner: A notification banner now appears on invoices that have been generated from a repeating invoice template with text about the frequency of the invoice and a link to the template.

  • Online invoicing - pay now banner: Made it easier for customers to pay an online invoice by keeping the ‘Pay now’ button visible at the top of their browser as they scroll.

  • Online invoicing - Google Pay: When you add Stripe as a payment service to online invoices, customer can now pay using Google Pay. They can use a credit or debit card saved to their Google account, in countries where Stripe and Google Pay are supported.

  • Bank rules - search rules: You can now search for specific bank rules by name or condition.

  • Products and services - filter items: You can now filter your products and services list to show active items only, or all items including those that you’ve archived. We’ve also updated the new item creation page, to help make it a faster and more beautiful experience.

  • New report centre: Reports are now grouped under clear headings that can be collapsed or expanded. Descriptions help you understand what each report does. An enhanced search functionality lets you easily find what you’re looking for.

  • Account transactions report - new options: You can now choose to show accounts with no transactions in the period, either only when they have a non-zero opening balance, or all, including ones with a zero balance. You can also exclude archived accounts and show opening balances for revenue and expense accounts.

  • 1099 contact management: You can now add contacts to the ‘1099 contacts’ group right from the 1099 report.

  • Profit and Loss - Total & YTD columns: You can now quickly add ‘Total’ and ‘Year to date’ columns from the ‘More’ button in your Profit and Loss report.

  • Reports - common formats panel: We’ve added a new collapsible side panel that gives you easy access to a selection of common formats in the Profit and loss and Balance sheet reports.

  • Reporting - show/hide accounting basis: We’ve added the ability to show or hide the accounting basis below the report title, alongside other information like organization name and date range.

  • Reporting - quick add text blocks and footers: You can now add text blocks and footers from within more of the new reports in Xero, without needing to edit the layout.

  • Business Snapshot in Analytics Plus - edit expenses table: You can now edit the expenses table to display a number of different options. As well as the largest expenses, you can choose to see expenses that have increased the most, or you can select a custom list of account codes.
